Assistant Store Manager - Fitzroy
About The Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Assistant Store Manager to join the team at our flagship Fitzroy store. You will be responsible for providing an exceptional customer service experience and collaborating with the Store Manager to achieve the store’s financial targets and key performance indicators.
Key Responsibilities
- Sunday to Thursday, no late nights. Friday and Saturday are your days off!
- Driving a customer focused culture, ensuring a warm and meaningful in-store customer experience
- Inspiring leadership & coaching of the Retail team, training & developing on retail standards
- Contribute to a strong store performance, where KPI’s and goals are being achieved
- Retail administration including store reporting, stock management, customer feedback & team rostering
- Ensuring a safe, inclusive and harmonious work environment
- Assist with weekly reporting on KPI’s and identifying solutions which will help to increase team engagement, customer satisfaction, and overall results.
Your Experience
- Demonstrate retail leadership experience (minimum 2 years) in a retail store management role.
- Outstanding customer centric focus and dedication to providing exceptional customer service.
- Empathy and maturity with customers; helping women find their perfect swimsuit at sometimes their most vulnerable. Intimate apparel experience advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in stock management.
- Experience in visual merchandising & product placement advantageous
- Passionate about swimwear styles & apparel

Senior Buyer
About The Role
We’re seeking a dynamic Senior Swimwear Buyer to lead our swimwear assortment, driving a range that reflects Swimwear Galore’s vision and makes a splash in the market. This role is ideal for a creative, commercially in tune leader who excels in a fast-paced environment and is ready to shape the future of our swimwear offerings. Reporting to the Head Buyer, you’ll manage high-SKU categories across up to 35 different brands, strategically buying from their ranges to build a cohesive and profitable assortment that exceeds customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Curate and select swimwear and accessory ranges that achieve sales targets, and maximize gross profit, all while delighting our swimwear enthusiasts.
- Analyse sales trends (weekly, monthly, quarterly) to create strategic Sales Plans and ensure stock is both profitable and on-trend.
- Attend brand ranges, both inhouse and at external locations.
- Oversee stock planning, forecasting, and allocation to maintain optimal inventory levels and prevent overstock or stockouts.
- Manage key planning tools, Range Plans, and Warehouse Monitoring.
- Present data-driven insights and strategies to senior leadership to inform decision-making.
- Conduct post-season analyses, monitor current season orders, and evaluate sales performance to refine future buying decisions.
- Develop and manage purchasing budgets to control costs and boost profit margins while balancing the needs of up to 35 brands.
Your Experience
- 5+ years of buying experience, preferably in apparel or high-SKU categories (swimwear experience is a plus).
- A strong grasp of buying principles, assortment planning, and inventory management.
- Proven ability to translate trends and customer preferences into successful product ranges.
- Exceptional organisational skills to manage critical paths, deadlines, and supplier lead times across up to 35 brands.
- Leadership experience with a talent for inspiring and mentoring teams.
- A passion for swimwear and a sharp eye for what makes our customers feel confident and fabulous.
