The design of these shorts makes them more suitable for a person that doesn't have much difference between their hip and waist measurement. I normally wear size 12 trousers, but these size 14 shorts are tight on me. Care instructions say to avoid contact with suntan lotions and oils which seems counterintuitive to swimming at the pool or beach.
